AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY
James William "Bill" Moore is the founder and publisher of EV World.Com, an online 'zine dedicated to tracking the development and deployment of sustainable vehicle technology. Launched on January 1, 1998, it is regarded as one of the most respected sources of information about the panoply of electric vehicles on the Internet.Born near Eschwege, Germany, Moore holds a BA degree in Theology from Ambassador College, St. Albans, Herts., England where he graduated in 1969. He served a decade in the ministry and then moved on to work in the airline industry, freelance journalism, advertising and Internet development. In 2008, he founded with four partners, EV World & Associates LLC, a professional consulting group focused on providing technical insight and marketing advice to indiviuals and organizations in the electric vehicle industry. The group launched in 2009 HydroKinetic Lab, a research and development effort to tap the power of flowing water.
The author has been interviewed on radio and television, as well as by the press. He has moderated industry panel discussions, including at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School. In turn, he has interviewed Congressmen and presidential candidates, the former head of the Central Intelligence Agency, Time magazine's "Heroes of the Planet", as well as respected academicans and up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
His articles have been published in Discover, Popular Science, Air & Space/Smithsonian and Mother Earth News. Electrifying Rides, however, represents his first book publishing effort.
Moore lives in Papillion, Nebraska with his wife Judy, where he grows grapes and enjoys wine... other peoples, that is. He is keenly interested in history and mystery. He holds a private pilot's license and dreams of someday returning to the air on electric power.
